The Comcast America's Children's Holiday Parade is one of most unique and best parades of its kind in the country. This award-winning parade is produced by renowned parade professionals and has a complete focus on children. Children's favorites appear as giant helium balloons, characters waving or dancing on colorful floats, along side terrific marching bands, and performance groups. Over 100, 000 spectators line the streets of downtown Oakland to view this event live.
The 2009 parade will be hosted by actor Mark Curry, star of the 1990's hit ABC show "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," and Claudine Wong of KTVU-FOX 2. Children's guest stars including, PBS characters; Sid the Science Kid, Caillou, RAGGS, Curious George, Noddy and Tessie, Clifford, Maya and Miguel, Wordgirl and many more!
