Music director Kurt Masur and guest soloist Kiri Te Kanawa headline this live broadcast from Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. Beverly Sills hosts the two-hour telecast, which features a sumptuous program of Mozart, Mendelssohn and Richard Strauss. Vocal presentations include "Ach, ich fhl's" from Mozart's The Magic Flute; Mozart's Vado, ma dove?; and the final scene from Strauss' Arabella. Orchestral selections include the overture from The Magic Flute; Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 ("Italian"); and Strauss' "Till Eulenspiegel." [115 minutes]
