Live from Lincoln Center

Mostly Mozart 2001 (#2604)

Conductor and music director Gerard Schwarz, in his last season with the Mostly Mozart Festival, leads this performance of three pinnacles of Mozart's compositional art. The concert opens with pianist Emanuel Ax playing the Piano Concerto No. 22 in E flat, K.482. Central to the program is Mozart's Requiem, K.626, and the concert closes with the motet Ave Verum Corpus, K.618. Beverly Sills hosts the telecast.
