Lincoln Center Celebrates Balanchine's 100 (#2904)
Lincoln Center pays tribute to the glorious legacy of dance master George Balanchine with a special telecast from New York City Ballet's 2004 Spring Gala. Artists from all over the Lincoln Center campus come together. Stars from the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic, Lincoln Center Theater, New York City Opera, Jazz @ Lincoln Center, The Chamber Music Society, the School of American Ballet and The Juilliard School join Peter Martins and the New York City Ballet to celebrate the centenary of Balanchine, one of the pillars on which America's largest cultural center was built. Beverly Sills hosts this once-in-a-lifetime event. [116 minutes]
