The Best of Old-Time Country Music
Shorty and Lorene: Two for the Show (#804)
The late Shorty Powers, who passed away in April 1997, and his musical partner Lorene Clark billed themselves as "Two for the Show." For ten years the duo played traditional bluegrass and old- time music together at festivals across the Midwest. Some of Shorty and Lorene's honors include playing at the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, and winning vocalist awards at the Minnesota State Country Music Awards.
