Hometime

American Four-Square: Flooring (#1106)

This episode of Hometime is the sixth in a series of ten episodes on the restoration of an American Four Square home, a popular style of design in the upper midwestern United States. Host Robin Hartle installs pre-finished wood flooring in the upstairs rooms. Having completed the flooring in the kitchen, she also helps the contractors to install the base cabinets. Contractors also pour concrete to form the floor of the basement; plastic is installed around the area so the humidity won't buckle the newly installed wood flooring in the other parts of the house. Host Dean Johnson installs trim around the newer windows and doors that closely matches the existing older trim. [26 minutes] Closed Captioning
