American Four-Square: Custom Cabinets (#1108)

In this continuation of the series on the restoration of an American Four Square home, hosts Dean Johnson and Robin Hartle aid contractors in completing the finish carpentry throughout the interior of the house. Construction workers install custom cherrywood cabinets on either side of the fireplace in the living room. Outside, roofers deal with the damage caused to the shingles by melting snow, and in the process discover rotten timbers that will need to be replaced. The addition at the rear of the house, which includes the kitchen, family room and a basement office, is nearly complete. Hartle shows how the two bathrooms have been prepared for tile installation.
