Ground-Level Deck (#1113)

Hosts Dean Johnson and Robin Hartl begin construction on one of the most popular do-it-yourself projects: a ground level deck. In this episode, they concentrate on the structural details, such as the footings and the framing. The deck, made of pressure treated southern yellow pine, is 16 feet by 12 feet, and is supported against the back of the house by three posts resting on concrete footing.
