Barney & Friends

A Little Mother Goose (#613)

In this episode of "Barney and Friends" Emily is having a hard time writing her own "Mother Goose" rhyme. Barney shows up and brings along none other than Mother Goose herself to give Emily and the rest of the kids pointers on how to write nursery rhymes. She tells them that in order to write a rhyme, you first have to be smiling. Also write about what you see around you as well as your own imagination. Everyone sings "London Bridge Is Falling Down" and dresses up in English period costumes. Everyone then takes a look around the classroom and finds things that remind them of certain "Mother Goose Rhymes." Then they recite those rhymes; "Humpty Dumpty,""The Clock," and "To Market." Barney enlists the help of Jill, Robert, and Mother Goose to help perform a puppet show of "The House That Jack Built." Finally, all of the kids sit down and write their own rhymes before Mother Goose leaves. [28 minutes] Closed Captioning
