Antiques Roadshow

St. Louis, Missouri, Hour One - America's Center (#501)

ANTIQUES ROADSHOW welcomes new host Dan Elias as the series kicks off its fifth season of history, discovery, and drama from St. Louis, Missouri. Elias visits St. Louis's Old Courthouse where, in 1850, a slave name Dred Scott sued for and won his freedom_a decision later overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court, hastening the start of the Civil War. At America's Center, ROADSHOW experts spot a number of valuable items, including two exquisite Japanese ivory carvings, a hand-colored map of Missouri printed in 1822, and a painting worth $ 30,000 to $50,000.
