Antiques Roadshow

Madison, Wisconsin, Hour One - Alliant Energy Center (#512)

In Madison, Wisconsin, host Dan Elias takes a sojourn to the State Capitol complex where beautifully-landscaped grounds play host to art fairs, weekly farmer's markets, and summer concerts, fulfilling the city planners' desire to make the government an integral part of public life. At Madison's Alliant Energy Center, appraisers spot a rare, printed broadside announcing South Carolina's secession from the union in 1862; an ash spinning wheel manufactured locally in Waitsville, Wisconsin, and an eight-string Norwegian fiddle the owner's uncle won in a card game, valued at $4,000.
