National Memorial Day Concert (2000)
The National Memorial Day Concert (2000) will feature a special segment commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Korean War, along with tributes to those who served in World War I, World War II and Vietnam. Ossie Davis hosts the broadcast from the West Lawn of the United States Capitol. Joining him are guest artists Trisha Yearwood, B.B. King, Colin Powell, Charles Durning and James Naughton, performing with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Erich Kunzel.
