Learning Disabilities Association of Iowa (LDA-I) - LDA-I is dedicated to identifying causes and promoting prevention of learning disabilities and to enhancing the quality of life for all individuals with learning disabilities and their families.

 
 
Very Special Arts of Iowa - VSA of Iowa connects Iowans of all abilities through arts experiences and education. VSA has four program areas that include Education, Professional Development, Cultural Access, and Public Awareness and Outreach.

 
 
Iowa Respite and Crisis Care Coalition (IRCCC) - The purpose of the IRCCC is to ensure all Iowa families have access to respite and crisis care services. Everyone needs a break from time to time to rejuvenate, reduce stress and provide a loving environment for his or her family. The IRCCC helps families get that break through crisis child care funding and direct family access to respite dollars.

 
 
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) - CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.

 
 
Division for Communicative Disabilities and Deafness (DCDD) - The primary mission of the DCDD is to promote the welfare, development, and education of infants, toddlers, children and youth with communicative disabilities, or who are deaf and hard of hearing. In addition DCDD seeks to promote growth in professionals and families as a means to better understand the development of communicative abilities and the prevention of communicative disabilities. DCDD is a special-interest division of the Council for Exceptional Children.

 
 
Division on Developmental Disabilities (DDD) - The DDD is an organization committed to enhancing the quality of life of individuals, especially children and youth, with developmental disabilities, including those with cognitive disabilities/mental retardation, autism, and related disabilities. The DDD seeks to further the knowledge base of the field, thus ensuring the continued advancement of positive educational and life outcomes for those with developmental disabilities. DDD is a special-interest division of the Council for Exceptional Children.

 
 
Teaching LD - TeachingLD is a service of the Division for Learning Disabilities (DLD) of the Council for Exceptional Children. DLD is the largest international professional organization focused on learning disabilities. The purpose of TeachingLD is to provide trustworthy and up-to-date resources about teaching students with learning disabilities.

 
 
Division for Physical and Health Disabilities (DPHD) - DPHD advocates for quality education for individuals with physical disabilities, multiple disabilities, and special health care needs served in schools, hospitals, or home settings. DPHD is a special-interest division of the Council for Exceptional Children.

 
 

ASK Resource Center - The ASK (Access for Special Kids) Resource Center is a "one-stop-shop" for children and adults with disabilities and their families. Through its member organizations, the ASK Resource Center provides a broad range of information, advocacy, support, training, and direct services, all accessible in one building or from one phone call. A single contact can direct individuals or families to the most appropriate services and supports to meet their needs.
