Video: Collections: USA Special Olympics 2006
In the summer of 2006, more than 3,000 athletes from all 50 states came to Ames, Iowa, for the first Special Olympics USA National Games. In honor of this momentous event, Iowa Public Television captured the stories of the competitors, coaches, volunteers and families who came together for this history-making six-day competition.
