When the legislators reconvene in Des Moines next Monday, which will be their most pressing issues?

This episode of The Iowa Journal we'll preview the 2008 session, paying particular attention to small business issues, including affordable health care insurance for employees. Lawmakers and members of the public comprise the legislative Commission on Affordable Healthcare Plans for Small Businesses and Families, which this week released recommendations for the legislature to tackle.

With us is co-chair of the commission, Senator Jack Hatch, a Democrat from Des Moines, and John Gilliland, Senior Vice President of Government Relations for the Iowa Association of Business and Industry. David Pitt of the Associated Press will also be on hand for a look behind the day’s headlines.
