Multitasking: Extended Discussion (Web Exclusive)

Duration: 11:42

The Iowa Journal explores the issue of whether our culture is multitasking itself into oblivion or just getting warmed up for a great leap forward in human consciousness. The ire of scientists is directed at the tide of electronic gadgets that is inundating modern culture. We'll continue the discussion of what this stuff may be doing for us and to us with program guests Michael Bugeja, Ph.D., director of the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication, Iowa State University and author of Interpersonal Divide; and Jan Bartlett, Ph.D., associate professor, Graduate Coordinator for Counseling, University of Northern Iowa.
