World Business: Gliding Reaches for the Sky 05/11/2010 | PBS

Duration: 05:47
Program: World Business #1037
Broadcast Date: Nov. 5, 2010

World Business: Gliders are remarkable pieces of equipment, able to soar hundreds, even thousands of kilometres. They can reach over 40000 feet into the sky, and travel at speeds of over 170mph. Until now though, one thing they haven't been able to do is make competitive gliding an attractive proposition for sponsors and broadcasters. But moves are afoot to change that.
