With extraordinary access to "America's Home," viewers journey through basement corridors, kitchens, and even into the private quarters of the First Family in "National Geographic's Inside the White House." Narrated by actor Morgan Freeman and set against the backdrop of a state dinner for Russian President Boris Yeltsin in 1995, this program travels back in time to reveal stories that illuminate the history of the Executive Mansion while profiling several key players behind the scenes. Included is rare footage from televised tours hosted by President Truman and Tricia Nixon, as well as interviews with all living presidents and first ladies: the Fords, Carters, Reagans, Bushes and Clintons. In addition, present and former chief ushers, seamstresses, plumbers and carpenters share anecdotes that bring to life the most famous residence in the world.
