As winter comes to an end in the Austrian Alps, the stags of the mountain herd lose their antlers in a humorous display. Once again, spring brings signs of color and life to the alpine slopes. But not everyone made it through the winter alive. NATURE follows a red deer calf as he navigates this dangerous alpine home. Academy Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham narrates the film, part of the 26th season of the Peabody and Emmy award-winning series produced by Thirteen/WNET New York for PBS. Major support provided by Canon U.S.A.
