Mike Seeger Performs "Free Little Bird"

Mike Seeger has been preserving and performing traditional music since the 1950s. While singing old-time tunes, he accompanies himself with a variety of instruments including banjo, pipes, jaw harp, harmonica, and Autoharp. Seeger, who is from Lexington, Virgina, was a founding member of the traditional music group called The New Lost City Ramblers.

Old-Time Country Music is a half-hour stereo television series recorded before studio audiences at Iowa Public Television in Johnston, Iowa. These programs were produced between 1990 and 2002 and featured local, regional, and national acoustic artists. From its onset, Old-Time Country Music featured country, folk, and bluegrass music for a national audience.
