www.pbs.org/theadirondacks/ We'll discover the celebrated tradition of fine arts in THE ADIRONDACKS which began in the mid-1800s, when Thomas Cole first painted here. We'll sit alongside Shirl Ireland as she captures a beautiful Adirondack scenic using a technique called Plein Air, or open air, painting. We'll also take a moment to admire a few of the hundreds of works created by storied Adirondack painters, Winslow Homer and Rockwell Kent.
