Duration: 11:09
Transcript (RTF)

Most Iowans this week are in triage mode, reacting to the immediacy of rising flood waters and sudden tornadoes. But the aftermath of the 2008 storms will ripple through entire Iowa economy for months to come.

The Iowa Journal assesses the economic impact from these storms with David Swenson, an Iowa State University economist and L.D. McMullen, retired CEO and General Manager of the Des Moines Water Works. He now consults on water resource planning with the engineering firm Snyder & Associates.
