Iowa's recent storms have left a wide path of destruction in their wake, including homes, schools, and churches.

While this is a shock to adults, and they have to deal with immediate survival as well as rebuilding homes, lives, and businesses, this upheaval is also greatly distressing to children.

Parents and child care specialists discuss how to help children during unsettled times on this episode of The Iowa Journal. Studio guests are: Karen Hyatt, Iowa Department of Human Services, and Gladys Alvarez, the Child Guidance Center.

The program will also go into Cedar Rapids as Dan Wardell speaks to children after the flood.
