Iowa Floods 2008 - Kids' Reactions

The Iowa Journal visits Cedar Rapids where kids and parents alike got a reprieve from thinking of the flood by attending Dan Wardell's Reading Road Show.

The event was to take place at the downtown Cedar Rapids library, which was still closed after downtown flooding. There was a brief discussion about canceling the event. But in the spirit of "the show must go on," the library moved Wardell's appearance to a local shopping mall, where the attendance topped 500.

Children and parents discuss the effect of the flood on their lives.
