Watch "The New Generation" - the second episode of "Have You Heard From Johannesburg" It is youth, both inside and outside, who next join the growing movement against apartheid. Oliver Tambo returns to the United Nations to try to convince them to sanction South Africa. His efforts gain new public support as the brutal suppression of a youth uprising in the South African township of Soweto and the murder of freedom fighter Steve Biko turn South Africa from a country into a cause. This five-part series from producer/director Connie Field chronicles the history of the global anti-apartheid movement that took on South Africa's entrenched apartheid regime and its international supporters who considered South Africa an ally in the Cold War.
