Iowa Journal explores the history of gambling in Iowa - starting in Davenport in 1991. Gambling money is still coming into the state's coffers, but at what cost? Have we saturated the market with gambling?

April 1, 1991 saw a new page in the state's history as the first riverboat gambling facility opened on the Iowa side of the Mississippi River. But the industry in Iowa has changed. Now casinos are moving off the river and onto land. How did this change occur and what does this mean for the future of gambling in Iowa.
