By uncovering a 7,000 year old settlement, finding Iowa’s oldest human remains - and also the state’s best-preserved village - Iowa scientists are learning new details about pre-historic Midwestern living.

On Tuesday, March 6th, 2012, the Science Center of Iowa invited presenters - from the University of Iowa’s Office of the State Archaeologist - to speak to the general public at Java Joes Coffeehouse in downtown Des Moines. This presentation is part of the Café Scientifique series, which is sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred.

The panelists are: Melody Pope, Bill Whittaker, John Doershuk, Robin Lillie, Howard Crow Eagle, Joe Artz, Shirley Schermer, Hannah Scates, Kurtis Kettler, and Angela Collins.
