MEDAL QUEST | What Makes a Champion? | "The Stakes are Definitely Higher with Athletes" | PBS
Duration: 04:12
Prosthetist Shane Ryley reveals the care and technology needed to make the high-performance limbs that have revolutionized sports for people with disabilities. Ryley compares the impact that sports put on prosthetic limbs: "hundreds of times higher" than on biological legs. MEDAL QUEST offers an unprecedented look into these high-stake games and the athletes that play them, and is produced for PBS by WGBH Boston in association with the US Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee.
