Program: Living In Iowa #214
Broadcast Date: Jul. 21, 1992 -
Collection: Dayton Duncan
In 1921, boy scouts from Clinton, Iowa had a big adventure - a road trip in Model T's to Yellowstone National Park. They were heralded as heros by towns along the way.
Their trip was memorable: winding through mountains on dirt roads, splashing through rivers without bridges, and even meeting up with Native Americans for an unexpected Pow Wow.
