Liz Calbom testifies before the U.S. Senate hearing on bullying in schools on June 8, 2012, in Des Moines. Ms. Calbom joined the Government Accounting Office (GAO) in November, 1990, and was named the Western Regional Director in 2006. In that role she is responsible for the operations of the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Denver field offices. She is also responsible for directing several engagements in GAO's Education, Workforce, and Income Security (EWIS) team, including work on school bullying. Prior to joining the GAO, Linda was a senior audit manager of Deloitte & Touche in Seattle, Washington.On the day of this hearing, the GAO released a report titled, "School Bullying: Legal Protections for Vulnerable Youth Need to Be More Fully Assessed."
