HISTORY DETECTIVES | Submit Your Mysteries | PBS

Duration: 00:32

www.pbs.org/historydetectives Do you have an object that you think may have played a starring role in American history but don't quite know how? Why not give the History Detectives a crack at it!

Most of the mysteries featured on HISTORY DETECTIVES come from viewers' e-mail submissions. In the past season alone the Detectives have helped a Lexington, North Carolina viewer reunite a moving World War II diary with the family of its author; checked out an antique typewriter which a Portland, Oregon viewer thought may have belonged to World War II journalist Ernie Pyle; examined an old instrument panel owned by a Hoboken, New Jersey man to see if it might have been recovered from the crash of the Hindenburg. That's just the beginning.

If you have a mystery you'd like the History Detectives to investigate, you can submit your story online at www.pbs.org/historydetectives

Watch for new season of History Detectives premiering Summer 2009.
