Premiering October 23, 2012 8-9 pm ET (check local listings) As the Cuban Missile Crisis continues, Fidel Castro is furious as US planes fly tree-top-level reconnaissance missions, coming in low over missile sites and snapping photos. Captain Jerry Coffee, a US Navy pilot during the Crisis, describes flying these missions. The next day, US Ambassador Adlai Stevenson makes a presentation to the UN, confronting the ambassador from the Soviet Union with the photos of the Cuban missile sites and revealing the evidence to the rest of the world.
