Duration: 01:41
Program: Before The Iowa Supreme Court: Same-Sex Marriage
Broadcast Date: Dec. 9, 2008

The Iowa Supreme Court heard lawyers discuss the constitutionality of a law that requires marriage to be only between two people of the opposite sex. The suit contends that this is unfair to same sex couples. The hearing took place Tuesday, December 9, 2008, in Des Moines.

This clip contains the response given to the question, (paraphrased)
