The Abolitionists: American Experience #2501
Broadcast Date: Jan. 9, 2013
While most abolitionists believed in the strategy of moral suasion, John Brown's belief that slavery was evil led him to martyr himself for the cause of abolition. His actions rallied Northern support and, in many ways, provoked the oncoming of the Civil War.
