In 2008, Iowans have dealt with the aftermath of devastating floods and tornadoes; a failing economy, a boom and bust in commodity prices; businesses interrupted by immigration raids. And through the ordeals of 08 communities continued to see its citizen/soldiers sent to a war that has defined much of the decade.
The 2008 presidential election also put Iowa in the national limelight and catapulted at least a couple of Iowans to positions in the Obama Administration.
To help reflect on just what these issues mean for the state in the next year, two reporters: Kay Henderson, news director of Radio Iowa, and Todd Dorman, a columnist with the Cedar Rapids Gazette join host Paul Yeager on The Iowa Journal.
