Performing Arts in Iowa - Ottumwa's Bridge View Center

On New Year’s Eve, 2006, Bridge View Center in Ottumwa opened. Envisioned as a community center and a regional attraction, it has a large exhibit hall, the “Expo Hall”, a theatre, meeting rooms, outdoor plaza and more.

Sitting along the river, Bridge View hosts a diverse range of entertainment and educational happenings, from plays and music events to the County 4-H Expo, dances, dinners, circuses and trade shows.

Bridge View is part of an effort to revitalize a town that lost about a quarter of its population from 1960 to 2000..
