PBS Engage | Gayla Benefield | Community Organizer
Duration: 03:05
Gayla Benefield is a Community Organizer for Libby, Montana. She was one of the first residents in Libby, along with Les Skramstad, to begin to put pressure on local and state governments to do something about the health crisis in Libby – asbestos and lung abnormalities. Despite her own health issues, Gayla continues to work tirelessly for the rights of asbestos victims in Libby and elsewhere. Listen to her thoughts about the information needs of communities.
