While the Iowa State Fair is the peak display time for the Discovery Garden, it blooms all summer long. Hundreds of volunteers work to provide this public exhibition area for some favorites as well as new and unusual plants. The garden is a cooperative effort between the Polk County Master Gardeners and Iowa State University Extension Service. It's pretty too.
