Transcript (RTF)

Willis Haddix served as ground support attached to the second Air Corps in 1944 and 1945. He was attached to the quartermaster and worked in the laundry. He also ran the officer’s bowling alley in Texas, and then drove trucks in Arizona. Later, he took care of the planes and the soldiers at his base. Willis enjoyed most of the duties that he describes as routine, just like a job.
