Transcript (RTF)

Marvin served with the 475th Infantry and the Mars Task Force in the China-Burma-India theater, although he had trained in horse cavalry. He tells us about their mission to secure the Burma road into China. All of their supplies were air-dropped from C-47’s into the Burma jungle, a land with no roads, where everything was on mule pack. They had Kachins, native guides who knew the area with them.
