Program: Market to Market #3313
Broadcast Date: Nov. 30, 2007
For many people selecting a Christmas tree is part of the holiday tradition. Up until the 1930's that meant a trip to the woods or forest to find and cut down a tree. Today almost all Christmas trees are cultivated as specialty crops. With 1.2 billion dollars in retail sales in the United States, a white Christmas is greener for tree growers.
