For nearly 20 years, Bill Moyers and his team followed the story of David Lewis, an ex-con, ex-drug addict and former gang member who became an inspiring prison reform advocate. Earlier this summer, Lewis was gunned down in a parking lot. His murder remains unresolved, but NEED TO KNOW on PBS provides a retrospective of what was a truly remarkable life.
