6 HABITS OF MIND

Six ways to be curious and learn from ZOOM activities. Ask yourself these questions. Write down your answers. And…oops! You just learned something.

  1. Being curious and asking questions
    Does this make sense?
Why did it happen this way?

  2. Making predictions
What do I think will happen?
What do I think will happen if I do it a little differently?

  3. Looking for multiple solutions
Is there more than one way to do this?
    Which way is best? Why?

  4. Cooperating and working together
Who else can work with me to do this?
How do we decide who does what?

  5. Recognizing patterns
When and where have I seen something like this before?
How is this similar to something I’ve seen or done?
    How is it different?

  6. Making observations and drawing conclusions
What exactly do I see happening?
What do I know is true having seen this happen?
How can I let others know what I have discovered?
(Hint: Send it to ZOOM; tell your friends; show your teacher; embarrass your parents)
